I can help you cope with stressful situations, strengthen your resources and regain your emotional wellbeing. Below you will find an overview of my services. Together we will find the path that suits you.
 

Counselling for adults

I work primarily from a client-centred perspective, which means I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences freely, at your own pace.

Client-centred approach is based on the belief that healing happens when you are truly heard, understood and accepted without judgement. It is a collaborative and relational approach. This is not about giving advice or analysing you but about working alongside you with empathy and respect as you move towards greater self-awareness and clarity.
 
I also take a trauma-informed approach when supporting clients with Complex PTSD and other trauma, ensuring sensitivity and care around the impact of past experiences.

Alongside this, I sometimes draw on elements of integrative counselling, including:

CBT – to explore and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.

Psychodynamic approaches – to consider how early experiences shape current feelings and patterns.

Gestalt therapy – to focus on the here and now, bringing awareness to how past experiences may influence the present.

Transactional Analysis (TA) – a practical framework for understanding how we relate to ourselves and others, including the ‘scripts’ developed in early life which may affect relationships and decision-making.

Integral Eye Movement Therapy

I have recently become a certified IEMT practitioner and am a member of the IEMT Association. I can support you in changing negative thought patterns, regulating emotions and improving behaviour.

IEMT is a gentle, non-invasive approach which helps reduce the emotional intensity of difficult memories, patterns or feelings. 

Using guided eye movement, IEMT works by understanding how the brain stores and processes emotional experiences - especially those linked to trauma, anxiety and unwanted emotional responses. Many clients find it helpful when they feel 'stuck' in patterns of distress - even if they don't wish to talk through all the details of what happened.

IEMT can compliment counselling (talking therapy) and is always led at a pace which feels right for you.

Baby Loss Foundation

Baby loss, infertility and pregancy informed 

I have undertaken practitioner training with The Foundation for Infant Loss. I have specialist knowledge in supporting clients in relation to baby loss, inferitilitly, pregnancy and rainbow babies. I am here to support both men and women.

In harmony with mind and body

In my counselling work, I take a very individual approach to your concerns and therapeutic goals. The methods I use are based on known theories and practices. They are adapted to your needs in order to provide you with the best possible support.

Finding the right support: Choosing the right counsellor is an important  step, not every therapist is the right fit for every person. If, during our work together (or in our initial free consultation), I feel another professional or service might be better suited to your needs, I will always let you know. This might include recommending a different approach, or a specialist service for issues which fall outside of my area of expertise. 

I believe counselling should be about what works best for you. My role is to support you in finding the most beneficial way forward, whether this is through our work together or other forms of support.
