I believe each person has the capacity for growth and healing, especially when offered the right environment of empathy, acceptance and understanding.

I am a fully qualified counsellor having trained with the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) to a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

I bring experience from working with clients facing a wide range of challenges and issues, including:

  • Domestic abuse (past and present)
  • Bereavement and grief
  • Trauma
  • Relationship difficulties with experience supporting  both heterosexual and same-sex couples
  • Childhood trauma and abuse
  • Anxiety, depression and low self-esteem
  • Chronic illness and long-term physical pain
  • Self-harm
  • And much more

I also hold a Level 3 Diploma (NCFE) in integrative counselling combining elements of person-centred foundation with elements of CBT theory and Psychodynamic theory.

Additionally, I have completed training in the following and can incorporate this 'change' therapy into my sessions with clients:

  • IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) practitioner.

I have also attended training in the following:

  • Trauma Informed: Trauma & PTSD, Complex PTSD and Vicarious Trauma.
  • Domestic abuse, self-harm and safeguarding awareness.
  • Baby Loss, infertility, pregancy and Rainbow Baby.

I have spent a number of years volunteering as a counsellor for a multi-purpose charity in Chadwell Health. I also currently provide counselling on a volunteer basis for an east London domestic abuse charity.

I currently work in private practice and have an additional unrelated role within an NHS GP surgery. This work has deepened my understanding of links between emotional and physical health. I hold a full child and adult DBS certificate.

Recognise, Understand, Change.

Working with Frontline Professionals

Prior to my counselling work, I spent many years working in high-pressure frontline enviroments. This gives me a deep appreciation of the unique stresses that professionals in policing and public frontline services often carry.

I offer a confidential space for anyone in these roles who may be struggling, whether with trauma, anxiety or burnout. Perhaps you feel unable to discuss issues with those around you. I understand the culture and the unspoken pressures.

My counselling room is a space where you can be you.

Let's work together.

If you are ready to take the first step in a new direction, get in touch with me.

I will support you in gaining greater clarity about yourself, understanding your feelings and needs, and exploring new paths for situations you face.
